Chocolate Halva Smoothie



– 2 cups ice cubes – 2 cups Real California plain or vanilla kefir or drinkable yogurt – 3/4 cup tahini – 1 banana, frozen – 8 dates – Honey or other sweetener to taste – 1/4 cup cocoa powder – Cocoa nibs, for garnish – Sesame seeds, for garnish :Frozen Drink, Smoothie, Kefir Drink, Halva, Chocolate

Prep time: 10 minutes

In the jar of a blender, combine ice, kefir, tahini, banana, and dates; blend until smooth. Add honey to taste. Transfer about 2/3 of mixture to serving glasses.

Add cocoa powder to remaining mixture in blender; blend until smooth. Add to serving glasses, then use a spoon or a straw to swirl the mixtures together.

Serve garnished with cocoa nibs and sesame seeds.

Makes 4 small servings or 2 large servings.
