Strawberry Shortcake Waffles



– 1 1/4 cups Real California milk – 1/2 cup (1 stick) Real California unsalted butter, melted – 2 large eggs – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 6 tablespoons sugar – 2 teaspoons baking powder – 1/4 teaspoon salt – Real California whipped cream and strawberries (any berry works) or maple syrup and more butter, for serving :Milk, Butter, Cream, Waffles, Shortcake

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 25 to 45 minutes

In a medium bowl, whisk together milk, butter, and eggs. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk milk mixture into flour mixture.

Preheat a waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Add batter to waffle maker and cook until golden, about 5 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

Serve with whipped cream and berries or maple syrup and butter. Serves 4 to 6 (makes about 12 4-inch waffles).
