In a small saucepan over high heat, combine the water, agave nectar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt. Cook, stirring frequently, until it comes to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until all the sugar is dissolved, and the syrup thickens. Add California butter to mixture and continue stirring until melted together. Strain into a small container and let cool slightly.
